Fun for all the Family at Blake Manor Nursing Home Open Day this Saturday

Blake Manor Nursing Home (formerly St. Columba's Nursing Home) will hold an Open Day on Saturday June 22nd from 12pm-3pm on the grounds of the historic manor at Ballinderreen, south Co. Galway. The event is part of the official renaming from St. Columba's to Blake Manor Nursing Home and will feature a BBQ, kids entertainment, a traditional ice-cream van, vintage cars and music from the Galway Bay FM Roadcaster.

The team at Blake Manor, who have put this fun afternoon together, would like to extend a warm invitation to the community, residents and their families and friends to join them from 12 noon. There will be an official ceremony just after one o'clock, with the ribbon being cut by a resident of Blake Manor Nursing Home.

Blake Manor is a family run nursing home, operating since 1981. Today, Blake Manor offers Nursing Home, Daycare, Convalescent and Respite Care to residents. The aim is for all those who make Blake Manor their home to feel valued and cared for by a team of professional and dedicated carers. Proprietor Aideen Scanlon and her family live within the grounds of the nursing home, enabling them to take a hands-on approach in ensuring that all residents are happy and that their needs are catered for at all times.

Recent renovations at Blake Manor make the historic home an exclusive state of the art residence that can cater for long term, respite and convalescent care of the elderly in beautiful and homely surroundings. Blake Manor residents enjoy independence, friendship and security, amidst tranquil and lush settings in the heart of the west of Ireland. During the Open Day, visitors will get an opportunity to view this splendid manor and its grounds.
